Some hold it as a doctrine while others have simply absorbed the assumption that the Law of God was for another day and does not apply today. Some believe the Law of God is for the Christian only and that it does not apply to the unbeliever or to the social order. Many believe that [...]

So will all peoples bow and worship You[2]
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Then said the Father to incarnate Son

The Bible is rife with evidence of a good God who provides for His people and who opens His hand and satisfies “the desire of every living thing.” He does provide and desires to provide abundantly. Pride is, I think, the most insidious, sneaky, tricky and deceitful thing in man. It is there and leaks out in many ways. I find that I am proud of any humility I think I perceive in myself or that others comment about.

But now reigns from heaven down here upon earth
Blessing the righteous but the wicked are cursed

Christ, in very un-pluralistic fashion commanded his people to disciple the nations (Matthew 28:18-20), teaching them to obey all that Christ taught them (which excludes all that other religions teach); this is also why judges and kings are commanded to “kiss the Son” (Psalm 2:10-12). Christ is Lord of all! This rule of Christ, to whom “all authority has been given” in heaven and on earth, comes through the “dominion” of the Church. Not a dominion of oppression and dominance, but a dominion of nurture and cultivation as she teaches and lives the Gospel of Christ and thus draws the nations (Isaiah 60) into the Kingdom of God. Jeremiah gives us a picture of this in the following verses.
