Success in Ministry to the World Promised

Jeremiah 1:19 - “They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you, to deliver you,” says the LORD.

Jeremiah felt himself unqualified to become God’s messenger. He was young and inexperienced. Yet God declared to Jeremiah that His own purposes could not and would not be overthrown. This principle of successful ministry not only for Jeremiah - “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope” Romans 15:4 (NKJV).

Surely the success promised to Jeremiah’s ministry is promised also to the ministry of the Church, for Jesus says to us, “and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world!” God’s purpose for the earth and for the inhabitants of the world will be fulfilled even though God’s enemies strive against Him and His Church.  Here again is postmillennial hope! Here is Gospel victory, victory in history for the Kingdom of God!
