The Life of Man
by Samuel Clingman
Written February 13, 2008

Man was not always fated to die,
for once he followed the will of God.
And in that garden of Heaven sublime
he walked with his maker, and sang a song
of happiness and life.

When created was man, he lived eternally,
never wanting for food or drink.
For he was the son of the most high,
an inheritor of all things heavenly.

Such once was man, and now is again,
through the blood of Jesus Christ!
For we are inheritors of all good things
and priests of all of life!

One Response to “The Life of Man”

  1. I very much enjoy Samuel’s poems! A great work of poetry! Not even Shakspeare or the Gypsies could do better!
