Many churches have started up and failed here in the Ozarks. Why should Cornerstone be different? No one can guarantee success unless they can see into the future - and I cannot. Yet there are godly principles, which if followed, will open a pathway to God’s blessing which is the most necessary ingredient to the [...]
Approximately eighty-five percent of Christian children are schooled by the godless government school system. Statistics demonstrate that about eighty-five percent of those Christian children so schooled will leave the church shortly after they graduate from high school. Yet, every Christian parent I speak to insists that the school his child attends is different - different because their’ school has Christian teachers, or a Christian principle. In other words, Christian parents are in denial, a denial that has produced a cancer within the Church which is slowly, and surely, producing death.
…if God so helped David in the foreshadowed kingdom to subdue his enemies, how much more now, in this, Kingdom of the Greater David! Jesus even now rides forth on a white horse and the armies of heaven follow him also riding on white horses (Rev. 19:11-16).
Thy Kingdom Come

(To the tune of For All the Saints)
O Glorious Son You asked the Father true
Give Me the nations in justice to subdue
So will all peoples bow and worship You
Then said the Father to incarnate Son
Sit at my right hand as My will is done
Til every nation by My zeal is [...]
We call to mind that the woman was “caught” in adultery which obviously means the man was also “caught”, yet they brought only the woman. This is in direct violation of the law of God that both parties in such a case are equally responsible and subject to the punishments of God’s law. The verse above is an eloquent exposition of exactly what is going on here. They had a double standard. They wanted their women to be faithful and pure but the men would not live this way themselves.
Jesus the Christ is not Lord to be
But now reigns from heaven down here upon earth
Blessing the righteous but the wicked are cursed
Christ, in very un-pluralistic fashion commanded his people to disciple the nations (Matthew 28:18-20), teaching them to obey all that Christ taught them (which excludes all that other religions teach); this is also why judges and kings are commanded to “kiss the Son” (Psalm 2:10-12). Christ is Lord of all! This rule of Christ, to whom “all authority has been given” in heaven and on earth, comes through the “dominion” of the Church. Not a dominion of oppression and dominance, but a dominion of nurture and cultivation as she teaches and lives the Gospel of Christ and thus draws the nations (Isaiah 60) into the Kingdom of God. Jeremiah gives us a picture of this in the following verses.
Five times in the Book of Revelation, Jesus, God the Son, says He is the “First and the Last.” What is Jesus claiming? The first time God uses this designation of Himself is in Isaiah 41:4. Whenever the New Testament uses a phrase, a name, a symbol, or any other figure that has its origins in the Old Testament, we should study to discover what the original intent of it is. In this case it is obvious from the context of Isaiah 41:4 that God is claiming Himself sovereign over history. In Revelation Jesus claims Himself the First and the Last, thus claiming to be the Sovereign Lord over history.
I mention William Carey and how God used him to initiate the modern missionary movement to point out that Carey was a postmillennialist. In other words Carey’s faith, vision and courage that led him to India was founded upon a vision of the future that anticipated the discipling of the nations and victory for the Gospel in history before Jesus comes back or the rapture happens.
